چکیده
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in relatives and patients with gastric cancer (GC).Methods: H. evaluated by breath urease test 171 qPCR technique tissue 61 (n=45 for GC n=16 non-GC). Results: There were included 137 34 non-GC. median age a sample 39 years (10-86). Infection found 60.2% (n=103) relatives. no higher rates (62% vs 62.9%, p=0.33), (60% 60%, p=0.96), or metaplasia (58.8% 61.8%, p=0.71). Conclusion: prevalence is high our population but not associated presence paired case.

The aim of the current study was to assess the association of gastric cancer and KRAS mutation, demographic factors, and H. pylori infection.<...
متن کاملThe Prevalence of H. Pylori cagA Gene in Patients with Gastric Ulcer
Background and Objective: Helicobacter Pylori (H. pylori) is one of the reasons for the gastric inflammation and peptic ulcers. It is a predisposing factor of gastric adenocarcinoma. Cytotoxin A encoded by the cagA gene is one of the major virulence factors in bacterial pathogenicity, which is of special importance due to genetic diversity in different geographical areas. The purpose of this st...

Background and purpose: Helicobacter pylori is a gram-negative, micro-aerophilic, and spiral-shaped bacillus. Infection with this bacterium can lead to gastritis, ulcers, and even gastric cancer. This study was conducted to evaluate the presence of the cagA gene among patients with gastritis and gastric cancer. Materials and methods: This study was performed in patients with gastritis (n=40) a...
متن کاملIncreased prevalence of precancerous changes in relatives of gastric cancer patients: critical role of H. pylori.
BACKGROUND & AIMS Helicobacter pylori is believed to predispose to gastric cancer by inducing gastric atrophy and hypochlorhydria. First-degree relatives of patients with gastric cancer have an increased risk of developing gastric cancer. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of atrophy and hypochlorhydria and their association with H. pylori infection in first-degree relatives ...
